Dr. Meier grew up in Menlo Park, California with her younger brother and her Australian-born parents. She attended Stanford University where she completed her undergraduate degree in Human Biology with an area of concentration in “Preventive Medicine.” After working as a Health Educator for the San Mateo County health department and as a Patient Advocate/Medical Assistant at a small family practice clinic for 3 years, she moved to Washington D.C. where she completed a Masters degree in Public Health at George Washington University with Delta Omega National Public Health Honors. She attended medical school at University of California at Davis and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford.

Dr. Meier joined Marin Pediatric Associates in 2004. Dr. Meier serves on the Credentials Committee at Marin General Hospital and volunteers as a physician teacher of the Breastfeeding class with the Lactation Center. Besides being an avid supporter of breastfeeding, Dr. Meier is interested in infant development, nutrition, prevention of sports injuries, and being a parenting resource for families.

Dr. Meier is married and has a baby daughter. Formerly a competitive athlete in soccer, water polo and triathlons, she now enjoys cross training in running and weight training. Other interests include travel, sailing with her family, playing piano, cooking and reading. Dr. Meier is fluent in Spanish.
